This position is responsible for securing the premises of Wilcox owned or leased property and employees by staying on patrol, monitoring surveillance equipment, performing building inspections, guarding entry points, and verifying visitors.
Roles & Responsibilities
Works directly with Wilcox management, employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and guests along with all Military, Federal and State Law Enforcement, Fire and First Responder Agencies.
Ensuring that the uniform remains clean and well-maintained and that you wear it while on duty.
Implement new security measures as required.
Ensuring your weapon is well maintained and secure at all times.
Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack, when non-violent options have been exhausted.
Respond to emergencies and implement Wilcox policies and procedures.
Follow all Local, State and Federal laws pertaining to Armed Security Guard.
Communicate via radio, telephone, written and verbally.
Interact with, escort employees, contractors, vendors and guests.
Recording the details of each person who visits the facility, if applicable.
Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking security patrols.
Follow applicable standard operating procedures pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, property and equipment.
Conduct personal, vehicle, packaging, and parcel inspection.
Familiarization with access control and fire alarm panels.
Monitor alarms and security cameras.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Clear criminal record.
Strong commitment to the well-being of others.
Neat, professional appearance.
Knowledge and experience with Firearms
Able to obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications from the State of New Hampshire.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Excellent decision-making abilities.
Ability to work calmly and efficiently, particularly when under duress.
Ability to work other shifts when needed.
Can stay alert at all times.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Associate’s degree in criminal justice
Experience in Armed Security, Law Enforcement, or Military service.
Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and defibrillator certifications.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform continuous physical exertion as needed. Sitting and standing for an extended period of time. Fitness level to be able to use physical force to ensure compliance from a stressful or combative situation. Outdoor patrol in adverse weather.
